No Girl's Dream

"No one dreams of being a prostitute", so starts this powerful new program on the prevalence of sex trafficking. It describes the risk factors for becoming a sex trafficking victim, including child sexual abuse, parent's drug addiction, and family domestic violence. The average age of children entering the sex industry is 12 to 14 years, and they typically have been abused by some one close to them.

The programs tells their stories and describes the help from law enforcement officials, social workers and volunteers who provide victim resources, and who also want to change public the perception of prostitutes from criminals to victims. Although the program emphasizes the state of Tennessee,  the dynamics of sexual slavery that they describe are universal.  The program's goal is to reveal these dynamics, and help prevent sex trafficking abuse.
