Suzanne Schultz, a supervising attorney in the family crimes division of a district attorney's office,  hosts this compelling program about teens and their stories of dating violence and abuse.  She describes how teen dating violence can be the precursor, both for the abuser and the survivor, of domestic violence that occurs later in life.  This process of abuse is described, beginning with degrading language and controlling behavior that deprives the victim of dignity and self-respect, and often leads to physical abuse and sometimes even murder.  The program offers ways to break the cycle of teen dating violence successfully by ending the relationship, especially when the abusive language and controlling behavior begin, by having an escape plan, and by confiding in a trustworthy adult.
