Family Court video.
This compelling documentary addresses the systemic breakdown of our family courts that occurs when the courts award custody of children to abusive and controlling parents, first articulated in the video “Small Justice: Little Justice in America’s Courts”. This new program features personal stories from parents whose lives have been affected by the dysfunctional family law system. It details evaluations by prominent attorneys and experts of what has gone wrong, and how it can be fixed. Issues addressed in the program include a critical description and analysis of the so-called "Parental Alienation Syndrome" (PAS), and the usurping of judicial authority by therapists, mediators and evaluators. It reveals how family law courts often operate as big business, and how this perpetuates the livelihoods of those depending on its continuation.
Featured in the program are Dr. Angela Browne-Miller, author, psychologist and trainer; Robert Cleek, Marin County family law attorney; Meera Fox, Executive Director, Child Abuse Solutions; Barbara Kauffman, Marin County family law attorney, and Connie Valentine, President, California Protective Parents Association.
